When searching the grounds of car dumps, I am often struck by the beauty of scrap, the color abstracts of rust, paint that is flaking off and the richness in fanciful lines and shapes.
The scrap in my acrylic paintings has been isolated ans taken out of its original context. Zooming in produces a painting with robust shapes and strong contrasts of color, in wich the weather-beaten aspect, the structure of rust and the space in wich the subject is placed take on a different meaning.

This creates a whole new world of its own, based on rust and garbage, wich evokes not only a desolate feeling, but also depths to dream away in.

The fact that the paintings are untitled stimulates the imagnination of the visitor even more.
